  1. Our Approach to Returns

At LeeFloom, every garment is made by hand, one at a time, using a natural eco printing process that produces completely unique results. No two pieces are ever identical. Because of this, our returns policy reflects the nature of what we make — handcrafted, unrepeatable, and deeply intentional.

We stand behind every piece we send out. If something is genuinely wrong with your order, we will always make it right. What we ask in return is that you read this policy carefully before purchasing, so you understand exactly what you are buying and what to expect.

We are a small, independent brand. Every return has a real impact on us. We appreciate your understanding and your support.

  1. The Nature of Our Products

Before we get into the specifics, there are a few things that are important to understand about LeeFloom garments:

Every piece is unique by nature. The colours, patterns, and leaf imprints on your garment are created entirely by natural pigments transferred through heat and steam. They cannot be predicted, controlled, or replicated. The piece you receive will look different from the photographs on our website — this is intentional and is what makes it valuable, not a defect.

Natural variation is not a flaw. Slight variations in colour intensity, leaf placement, and print depth are a normal and expected part of the eco printing process. These characteristics reflect the natural world — the age of the leaf, the season, the humidity on the day it was made. They are features, not imperfections.

Photographs are representative. Our product photography shows the style, technique, and general aesthetic of our garments. The exact piece you receive will be its own unique creation.

  1. What We Accept Returns For

3.1 Damaged Items

If your garment arrives physically damaged — torn, stained by the shipping process, or structurally compromised — we will offer a full refund or replacement.

3.2 Defective Items

If there is a genuine manufacturing defect in your garment — a seam that has come apart, stitching that has failed, or a construction issue — we will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund depending on the nature of the defect.

3.3 Wrong Item Sent

If you receive an item that is different from what you ordered, we will arrange a return and send you the correct item or issue a full refund including return shipping costs.

  1. What We Do Not Accept Returns For

We are unable to accept returns or offer refunds in the following situations:

Change of mind. Because each piece is handmade and one of a kind, we cannot accept returns simply because you have changed your mind after purchase. Please be sure before you buy.

Natural variation in print. Differences in colour, pattern, leaf placement, or print intensity that are within the normal range of our eco printing process are not considered defects. We are unable to offer refunds on this basis.

Sizing issues where correct information was provided. We include detailed sizing and measurement information in every product listing. If you ordered the wrong size based on information that was clearly provided, we are unable to accept a return. If sizing information was missing or unclear, please contact us and we will work with you fairly.

Items that have been worn, washed, or altered. We can only accept returns on items that are unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in their original condition with all tags and packaging intact.

Custom and personalised orders. All custom orders are made specifically for you and are non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Items purchased on sale or at a discounted price. Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Late return requests. Return requests made more than 7 days after receiving your order will not be accepted, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

  1. How to Request a Return or Refund

If you believe your order qualifies for a return or refund under Section 3, please follow these steps:

Step 1 — Contact us within 7 days Email us at hello@leefloom.lk within 7 days of receiving your order. Use the subject line: Return Request — Order #[your order number].

Step 2 — Include the following information

  • Your full name and order number
  • The reason for your return request
  • Clear photographs showing the damage, defect, or issue
  • A brief description of what you received versus what you expected

Step 3 — Wait for our response We will review your request and respond within 2 business days. We may ask for additional information or photographs before making a decision.

Step 4 — Follow our instructions If your return is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how and where to send the item. Please do not send anything back to us without prior approval — unapproved returns will not be accepted and cannot be refunded.

  1. Return Shipping

If the return is our fault

If the item you received was damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will cover the cost of return shipping. We will either provide a prepaid return label or reimburse you for reasonable return shipping costs upon receipt of proof of postage.

If the return is due to other approved reasons

In cases where a return is approved outside of damage or defect — at our discretion — the cost of return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked shipping service as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit on their way back to us.

  1. Refunds

7.1 When Refunds Are Issued

Refunds are issued once we have received and inspected the returned item and confirmed that it meets our return conditions. We will notify you by email once your refund has been processed.

7.2 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to issue refunds to a different card or account.

7.3 Refund Timeframes

Once approved and processed on our end, please allow the following timeframes for your refund to appear:

These timeframes are set by the payment providers and are outside our control.

7.4 Partial Refunds

In some cases — for example, where an item shows signs of use or is returned without original packaging — we may issue a partial refund rather than a full refund. This will be communicated to you before any refund is processed.

7.5 Shipping Costs

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item).

  1. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return your original order (if eligible under this policy) and place a new order separately. This ensures you secure the item you want, as our stock is extremely limited.

  1. Etsy Orders

If you purchased through our Etsy shop, Etsy’s own buyer protection policies also apply. You may raise a case directly through Etsy if you are unable to resolve an issue with us. However, we always encourage you to contact us first — we will always do our best to resolve any issue directly and quickly.

For Etsy purchases:

  • Etsy’s purchase protection may cover eligible orders
  • Disputes can be raised through your Etsy account under Purchases and Reviews
  • Etsy’s return window and policies may differ from ours in some cases
  1. Cancellations

You may cancel your order within 1 hour of placing it for a full refund. After this window, your order will have entered production and cannot be cancelled.

To cancel, email us immediately at hello@leefloom.lk with your order number and the subject line: Cancellation Request — Order #[your order number].

If your cancellation request is received within the 1-hour window, your refund will be processed within 3 to 5 business days to your original payment method.

  1. Faulty Items After Wear

If a manufacturing defect becomes apparent after you have started wearing your garment — for example, a seam failure or stitching issue that appears within normal use — please contact us. We assess these on a case-by-case basis and will always try to find a fair resolution.

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Improper washing or care (see our care instructions)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Exposure to harsh chemicals or bleach
